Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Heart Association is the national’s largest and prestigious annual cardiology meeting for approximately 2500 health care professionals (mostly cardiologists, internists, neurologists, cardio-thoracic surgeons, general practitioners and other professionals) and scientists from all part of Indonesia and surroundings, which are all dedicated to the science of cardiovascular diseases and associated disorders.

The theme of these coming events is “Advances in the Management of Cardiovascular Disease: The Controversies Continues“ which will capture the evolving field of topics of cardiovascular services in Asia-Pacific region.

Symposia, workshops, mini-courses, cardiovascular research forum, free paper and Young Investigator Award session are interestingly available during the event. The scientific session offer a unique opportunity to gather with colleagues across the country with a wide-ranging interests and expertise in cardiovascular medicine and research. We have had some decades of advances; therefore, the scope and quality of scientific exchange at the scientific sessions have resulted in its becoming one of the most informative and the largest medical meeting of its kind in the country and surroundings. There will be also large, interesting technical and business exhibition for our partners from the pharmaceuticals and medical supplies companies. This exhibition will be displaying the latest medication and equipment advances in cardiology and cardiovascular surgery within the last recent years.

The 21^st Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Heart Association will be held in Jakarta on April 6 – 8, 2012. So, we proudly invite you to join these prestigious events for a warm and enriching experience. The Scientific Committee has carefully selected the interesting topic to provide a broad base of information at the forefront of research and best recent clinical practice.

The Indonesian Heart Association (IHA) will be holding its 21st Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Heart Association (ASMIHA) on April 6-8, 2012 in Jakarta, Indonesia. It would be the biggest and most influential congress on cardiology in Indonesia. It attracts for more than two thousands participants coming from all part of the country.

This time we will be placing the spotlight on “Recent advances in the treatment of cardiovascular disease: The controversies continues”, and the program committee has guaranteed stimulating, interesting and innovative topics around the controversies in the field of cardiovascular disease.

As routine agenda, ASMIHA will have some joint symposiums with international top academic societies, such as World Heart Federation (WHF), European Society of Cardiology (ESC), Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology (APSC), Japanese Circulation Society (JCS) and Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions (SCAI). For the first time, there will be joint symposiums with the Macedonian Society of Cardiology, The Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand and the Philippine Heart Asssociation, as the commitment of IHA to extend unlimited relationship with world known cardiology societies.

 

For those who are willing to know in depth of some major and hot topics, there are some workshop on heart failure, acute cardiovascular care, electrophysiology and pacing, pediatric cardiology, vascular disease, cardiovascular imaging and echocardiography that will be packed in an interactive way

 

The IHA for general practitioners physician symposium is made dedicated to all GP’s as frontliner in health care services in the community. This full one day program will be focusing some common daily clinical cardiology cases, with cases presentation.

 

To encourage, promote and discuss the latest knowledge through researches in cardiovascular medicine, there will be cardiovascular research forum, free paper presentation and young investigators award session attended by national and international faculty judges.

 

As a routine event, the cultural night program will be packed profesionally and actively involve all IHA branches member to filled in the prestigious and warmful cultural show that in turns will  strengthen the friendship among IHA members.
